RICHARD LAMBERT
Founder & President
Richard began his long and exciting career from a practical background as an industrial electrician and later, when he favored and felt naturally drawn towards the controls side of the industry, he looked to expand on his newfound-talent by seeking his next career challenge.
After sharing his passion for all things electrical and mechanical with his uncle, Richard G. Langone, who at that time was the District General Manager of Carrier Corporation, the next chapter of Richard’s career was launched.
For the next five years, Richard delved deeply into the industrial air conditioning world with Carrier where he was exposed to and learned all about large-tonnage central station chillers. The transition from the electrical industry to the industrial air conditioning space felt like a natural progression. His prior experience and expertise with control systems helped pave the road to success and growth during his tenure with Carrier.
Longing to learn and understand the commercial HVAC industry outside of the central station chiller plant, Richard accepted an opportunity with a mid-size, rapidly growing, and very successful mechanical contractor in NYC. As the company’s Technical Director, Richard and his staff provided technical support and guidance for the company’s service and construction departments. The wealth of knowledge that Richard acquired during his employment with this company provided the skill sets needed for his next career move.
Driven by self-actualization, Richard founded Prime Mechanical and tirelessly worked at the beginning from a spare bedroom in his home. As the wheels of business began to roll, Richard took an office in Long Island City before purchasing a building in Woodside to house his rapidly growing HVAC service, maintenance, and contracting business.
Committed to consistently delivering first-class service to all of Prime Mechanical’s customers, Richard continues to surround himself with a best-in-class team to perpetuate his vision and commitments. Since 1991, nothing has changed in his business model which is acutely aimed at exceeding his customers’ satisfaction.
THOMAS MURRAY
Vice President, Director of Construction
Thomas holds a key position in propelling the company to success within the HVAC industry. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge cultivated since 1996 in mechanical contracting and a comprehensive grasp of HVAC systems, he oversees all aspects of the business, from project management to customer relations to financial performance. He works closely with the company’s leadership team to set strategic priorities, develop new business opportunities, and ensure that Prime Mechanical remains at the forefront of the industry.
Before joining Prime Mechanical, Thomas held significant leadership roles at Jones Lang LaSalle and CBRE. During his tenure, he oversaw projects totaling over $1 billion in construction and development, including high-profile endeavors such as Grand Central Terminal’s renovation and the construction of One Bryant Park – Bank of America Building.
Drawing on his rich background in project management and development, Thomas now applies his expertise at Prime Mechanical where he leverages his deep industry knowledge to lead strategic initiatives, enhance customer relations, and ensure operational excellence. His commitment to innovation and efficiency drives meaningful change, positioning Prime Mechanical for continued success.
MICHAEL LAMBERT
Director of Service Operations
Michael’s professional journey at Prime Mechanical is a narrative of growth and deepening commitment, beginning long before his formal employment in 2013. Early experiences ranging from filter sorting, administrative assistance, to hands-on fieldwork, helped lay the foundation for his thorough understanding of the company and industry.
Michael’s career at Prime Mechanical has been marked by a series of advancements, moving from Project Estimator to Project Management roles within the Construction Department, before transitioning to the Service Department as the Service Manager.
In his current role as Director of Service Operations, Michael applies a refreshing approach to leadership, emphasizing the integration of innovative solutions and the expansion of the company’s reach. His background in graphic design contributes to this, offering a creative lens through which he addresses problem-solving and encourages innovative thinking within his team.
Michael is dedicated to cultivating a culture where meaningful connections are paramount; both internally among staff and externally with customers. His commitment to this principle has been instrumental in enhancing customer relations and fostering a collaborative work environment

BRENDAN LAMBERT
Project Executive
Brendan began his full-time career after graduating college in 2017, however, his tenure at Prime Mechanical began well before his official role, rooted in his early involvement in the family business. This extensive history has granted him a deep-seated knowledge and understanding of the organization’s mission and the mechanical contracting industry at large.
Brendan’s leadership is characterized by effective communication, precise organizational skills, innovative problem-solving, and detailed analytical thinking. These traits have consistently elevated project standards, reflecting his impactful leadership.
