Cooling Tower Replacement
This turnkey project involved the like-in-kind replacement of an existing 180-ton forced draft counterflow cooling tower in a historic condominium building in Tribeca. The updated heat rejection system was further improved with a new variable frequency drive to serve the cooling tower fan and a state of the art basin level control system. To update the Building’s related utilities, we installed a new domestic water booster pump, RPZ, and water meter into the existing city water system. Despite challenging conditions, including inclement weather and the building’s occupancy, the Prime Team maintained close coordination with the condo superintendent, ensuring the project’s success without the disruption of the condo’s residents.
