Mechanical Room Modification

Prime Mechanical completed a complex mechanical installation to support the construction of a new amenities space on a setback of the existing base building mechanical floor in Midtown East. The project involved large-scale base building ductwork relocations to accommodate new code-compliant egress corridors, ensuring safe tenant access through the mechanical space to the amenities area.

All work was performed during weekends to guarantee that relocated ductwork serving supply, return, and exhaust air for half of the Building was fully reconnected before the start of business each Monday. Additional scope included dual temperature piping relocations, low pressure steam relocations, variable frequency drive installations, and new ductwork to serve the amenities space. Trade work encompassed ductwork, piping, insulation, low voltage controls, and system balancing.
