This turnkey project was truly unique in that it encompassed the installation of a full “Mechanical Equipment Room” (MER) on the roof of a building in Downtown Manhattan. Prime Mechanical strategically constructed the frame of this outdoor MER with a multi-tiered dunnage assembly that  enabled the proper installation of all mechanical equipment. The heat rejection system that we installed included a variety of different features, including: a two-cell 500-ton open cooling tower, two  (2) 1,500 GPM condenser water pumps, two (2) variable frequency drives, and two (2) city water booster pumps. As the turnkey contractor, our team successfully coordinated and managed all associated trade work involved to complete the project.
